A crossfit exercise to develop explosive strength. It involves the glutes, the calves and front side of the thighs.
Stand in front of a platform or a special block.
Slightly bend your knees and squat.
Lean forward and, as you exhale, push your legs and jump on the platform.
Without pausing at the top, as you inhale, jump back to the starting position.
While jumping back, immediately bend your legs to soften the landing.
Start with the lowest height platform in order to train the technique as you should jump quickly.
Beginners should step back instead of jumping back.
If you want to increase the load, use a higher platform. Additional weight (a barbell/dumbbells) can cause injuries.
